Philip Redman - Managing Director
Phillip Redman joined Voltic as General Manager in April 2014 in the midst of a challenging economic environment. He has since transformed Voltic, growing the business by 50%, through strategic alignment and people management. Phil has been instrumental in introducing Beta Malt in Ghana, transforming the Malt Category to challenge the market leader.
Phil joined SABMiller, as an Innovation Manager in the Group Office in London. He was promoted within a year to Senior Portfolio Manager leading the development of portfolio and category strategy across Africa. Whilst occupying this position, Phil worked with the Tanzanian business to position the business for growth in a number of new areas, leading to numerous product launches targeting underserved consumers and occasions.
He also worked with the South African Breweries supporting the transformation of the business from brand-based growth to an integrated category growth.
Before joining SABMiller in 2012, Phil had a stint with Honeywell, where he started as a graduate trainee moving through a series of Technical roles and leaving the company as the Strategic Marketing Director where he led the development and creation of the 5 year growth strategy across the global.
Phil Redman holds an MBA from the London Business School (recently ranked as #1 global business school) and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK.
